Beginning March 5, 2020, I began to digitize Durkheim’s data sets presented in Suicide. I have also been in the process of updating his work to demonstrate contemporary differences in suicides both cross-nationally and within countries. The purpose of this website is to serve as a digital repository of historical and contemporary suicide data, as related to Durkheim’s work.
This exploratory project is being developed as part of Digital Humanities initiative at Drew University, and in collaboration with my course on Medical Geography. More information about my research interests and experience can be found on my website, lisajordan.net.
